Sondel Sport run a fully equipped modern workshop and M.O.T. Testing Centre (Class 1 & 2) with factory-trained technicians and DVSA approved testers.
Skyler is the first port of call, he heads up Sondel’s After-Sales and Workshop. He’s been riding since he could walk, and has been in the trade 6 years, joining Sondel 3 years ago from 21st Moto where he was a fully-trained Level III Honda technician. Skyler is forever changing his bikes, in the last 12 months we have seen him arrive at work on a WR450, a Tracer 9 GT, a Husky and, the only bike he won’t sell, a Vespa 300 GTS.
When not booking MOTs or service jobs he’ll be hunting for, and ordering, parts for the workshop – whether that’s a regular service or a complete rebuild. Wherever possible we will use factory parts, but understand that in some cases that’s not economic, and we’ll instead source parts from reputable after-market suppliers.
We specialise in looking after the full range of Yamaha road-bikes and scooters and will also happily take on work from the other Japanese manufacturers as well as the major European manufacturers, Triumph, Ducati, KTM, BMW, Vespa/Piaggio etc.
In the workshop we have two senior techs, both with 15+ years experience.
Reiss started with us in 2020, initially coming in 1 or 2 days a week as our ‘trouble shooter’ helping out with the work on older models – we’ve had him balancing carbs on 25 year old Viragos, rebuilding a 35 year old Tenere and early R-1’s – nothing much phases him. For most of the year he rides a first gen Tracer 900 round the M25 to get here.
Justin started his career on the other side of town, working initially on scooters and ‘peds before moving up to a full franchise Piaggo dealership with bikes and scooters, then on to a Yamaha dealer in west London. He joined Sondel in 2022. Lives locally so is almost always the first to work! Last seen riding a 636.
M.O.T.s are £29.65 – with a free re-test – please call to book, we’ll almost always manage to get you in on the same day.
Tyres, we price-match with a well respected supplier in the area, fitting includes balancing.
Punctures are repaired in line with the regulation BS ASU 159.
